Our Mission

Common Ground Farm is a farm project that serves our community as an educational model for people of all ages to learn how foods grow, how to raise ecologically sound crops without chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, and how to keep farmland healthy for generations to come. As a working farm, we strive to interpret a new agricultural experience and tradition that is a precious part of our nation's heritage.

The Workshops calendar has been updated with new additions for young children, older children and adults. Also, the Events Calendar has been updated with our Membership Meeting in August as well as a donwloadable PDF version of the calendar.

Growing Practices and Ethics Statement

In accordance with the Northeast Organic Farming Association's Farmer's Pledge program, Head Farmer Tim Heuer has compiled Common Ground Farm's 2010 Growing Practices and Community Ethics Statement detailing the openness and transparency of the Common Ground way of farming.

Common Ground Farm Open House

Stop by the farm on Sunday, April 25th between 11am and 4pm to ring in the new produce season at Common Ground Farm. We'll be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, singing work songs in the fields, and getting to know the share holders for the 2010 season.
