Hello Common Ground community!  

I am very excited to inherit the wonderfully rich education programs that Jen Clapp grew over the past four years.  I look forward to meeting and working with you and your children as the programs continue to develop. 

I have a variety of experiences teaching and managing programs, including teaching middle school in the south Bronx and managing the children’s programs for the Department of Continuing Education at Lehman College.  Most recently, I worked at Lehman College Art Gallery, where I served for five and a half years as the Education Coordinator.  In this position I grew our programming to include public art workshops, for-credit courses for high school students and teacher training programs, in addition to our exhibition-based programs.

In February, our family moved to Beacon and I left my position so that I could devote more of my time to taking care of our two young boys.  

I am thrilled to become part of this community and look forward to developing and expanding the educational offerings at Common Ground.  I am interested in hearing any thoughts or ideas that you may have on the direction that you would like to see the education program grow.  If you have a special skill or would like to give a talk on a farm or nature related topic, please let me know.  I would also like to form an education committee.  If you are interested, please email me at education@commongroundfarm.org.  I look forward to meeting and working with you!
