Green Teens

Common Ground Farm has been partnering with Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Green Teen Community Gardening Program since 2005. This program places Beacon high school students in our field for a six-week program. Green Teens is a youth development program in Beacon which provides paid work to local teens while teaching them about the food system by engaging them in hands-on work—from learning about the source of their food while working alongside our farmers and apprentices to directly marketing the food they grow.
