Green Teen Education
The Green Teen program empowers urban youth to be effective community change-agents by immersing them in the local food system. This youth development program teaches life and work skills through hands-on experiences in farming and gardening, health and nutrition, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
During the spring, summer, and fall the Green Teens work with our farmers on various projects on the farm and at the farmers market. We strive to teach practical agricultural skills, as well as encourage teamwork, hands-on learning with fresh foods, and interaction with the natural world. During the summer, farm visits are weekly and we share a communal farmers' lunch.
