2017 U-Pick CSA Shares
Joining our summer U-Pick program means joining the Common Ground Farm community
Our U-Pick share is designed so that YOU get to harvest your own food. We are not a "full vegetable diet" CSA. You'll have a hands-on experience on the farm to harvest and enjoy 4-5 fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers (around a $17 value each week) for 12 weeks during the summer. Every week, U-Pick members enjoy the beautiful outdoors and explore the farm fields, talk with the farmers and learn about this year's growing season, and depart with the week's bounty.
We'll tell you what, how and how much to harvest - you bring a harvest knife, basket and a love of good food.
** We accept SNAP/EBT. Contact us for more information.**
VEGETABLES: Our 2016 U-Pick selection will include, at different times: sugar snap peas, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, scallions, sweet and hot peppers, mini eggplants, summer squash, cucumbers, assorted herbs, swiss chard, cut flowers to enjoy fresh and for drying, and more.
SCHEDULE: The U-Pick CSA will run for 12 weeks this summer from June 21st to September 9th. You may choose to harvest your share on Wednesdayafternoons 3-6pm or Saturday mornings 9am-12pm.
COST: $200 for 12 weeks. We accept credit card payment (online), check, and SNAP/EBT.
HARVEST DAYS: You may choose to harvest your share on either Wednesday afternoons 3-6pm or Saturday mornings 9am-12pm. We recommend choosing a day and sticking with it for the summer. However, you may come on either day, once per week. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate U-Pick members at any other times during the week.
We will have signage and instructions with information on what can be harvested in the week's share.
WHAT TO BRING: We ask that you bring your own baskets or bags and a harvest tool (scissors or a small knife).
