COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA) AT COMMON GROUND FARM
Common Ground Farm was founded in 2001 to bring the model and tradition of CSA to the Hudson Valley.
Our summer U-Pick CSA is a time-honored tradition amongst many Hudson Valley households! U-Pick CSA members come to the farm every week during the summer and harvest a share’s worth of veggies, herbs, and flowers! It’s a great way to get onto the farm, into the dirt, and connect with our community.
Our Fall CSA rounds out the season with an abundance of pre-harvested veggies, picked up at the farm market-style. Compared to the U-Pick CSA, our farmers do all the work of harvesting the veggies and herbs each week in the fall. We made the switch to a pre-harvested Fall CSA a few years ago to accommodate the busy nature of fall time for our community members.
We recently started offering delicious add-ons from 3 local farms to round out your diet- eggs, mushrooms, and fruit! These are available for pick-up with your usual share of veggies each week.
Whether you join us for U-Pick CSA, Fall CSA, or both, we’re excited to welcome you to the farmily and eager to see you and your loved ones out in the fields soon!
Sales for our 2026 CSA program are currently closed.

accessibility
We strive to make our CSA as accessible as possible. Here are three alternative methods of payment that we offer in case paying upfront in-full is cost prohibitive for you.
Payment Plans
We offer payment plans as a way for members to pay for their share incrementally over the course of 4 months. A $25 administrative fee is added to the total price of your chosen CSA membership in order to cover the added labor involved with payment plans.
APPLY FOR A WORK SHARE MEMBERSHIP
For folks who are interested in getting their hands dirty and helping out with field work, we offer a weekly share of veggies, herbs, and flowers in exchange for working with the farmers in the fields. No prior farming experience is required. We will train you and work alongside you in the fields. Please note: your application does not guarantee you a spot in our CSA.
Pay using SNAP/EBT
Through Glynwood’s CSA is a SNAP program, we are able to offer folks the opportunity to pay using SNAP/EBT at half the cost of a weekly share. Please email Farmer Rhys to state your interest!
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS A CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture describes a model of food distribution that directly connected farmers with consumers. Essentially a subscription for produce where you pay upfront for a growing season’s worth, CSA memberships serve as a way for community members to financially support farms over the winter, allowing them to retain employees and purchase seed and equipment. It’s a great way to deepen your connections—with your food, with the land that nourishes you, with your farmers, and with your neighbors! Check out the untold history of CSAs here.
WHICH VEGGIES CAN I EXPECT EACH WEEK?
Every week, you’ll take home 6-8 different farm-fresh veggies plus herbs. On top of that, starting in July, members can harvest flowers. In the spring, you can expect lots of greens and root veggies. As we transition into summer, you can expect favorites like cucumbers, summer squash, potatoes, and onions among others. By the time mid July hits, you’ll get an abundance of tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and more! With the onset of fall, we’ll return back to a variety of cold-hardy greens and delicious root veggies. We do our best to rotate veggies week by week and give a nice variety of veggies to keep things interesting!
