Make Beacon a Pollinator Friendly City

The conservation of Earth’s resources, including its living biological systems, must become part of the everyday culture of us all, worldwide.

Douglas Tallamy, Entomologist, Ecologist & Author

The Beacon Pollinators are dedicated to developing a more pollinator-friendly city. We empower others in transforming ecologically unproductive land into thriving gardens for wild bees, butterflies and birds through education and by making native plants more accessible.

Founding members, Monika Aymar-Blair, Holly O’Grady, and Karen Quiana started building pathways in 2022 and offering educational programs. We are a volunteer group who partner with organizations including the Conservation Advisory Committee, Parks Department, Beacon City School District and Common Ground to create new pathways and learning opportunities.

Beacon Pollinators operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Common Ground. Through this partnership, donations to Beacon Pollinators are tax-deductible and help support native plant installations, educational programming, and continued expansion of pollinator pathways throughout Beacon.

New projects are underway for 2026. To learn more or join our team of volunteers, contact us at:
